Description

This is the E66 - the longer wheelbase limousine-spec flagship model. It's packed with technology and every possible extra for passenger comfort, driving enhancement and luxury. This particular car cost over 93,000 new in 2004, and it's basically still new now in the condition it's in. There is not one single error on diagnostics. Absolutely every single thing works perfectly as it should. There are 4 Pirelli P Zero tyres on the car with plenty of tread, and it has full service history. I've recently spent 925 on a properly major service using all BMW brand new parts: all 12 plugs, brand new vacuum hoses, filters (including carbon-activated cabin filters), new sensors, and the finest oil money can buy. It's also just had 2 brand new front track rod ends fitted and has 9 months MOT with zero advisories. I have a lever arch file 3 inches thick with all the maintenance details, and 2 key fobs. Another big advantage is that this car runs on cam chains, so you don't have to worry about the expense of a cam belt change because it doesn't need one. The 6 litre V12 is incredibly smooth, so you can waft along like royalty all day long. There's a whopping 440 horsepower from the normally aspirated engine, so when you fancy some thrills, or to overtake, it will accelerate like a stabbed rat! 0-60 is only 5 seconds, and you've got the very clever gearbox and suspension systems working for you as well. The gearbox has 3 modes: Drive, Sport and Manual. Sport makes all that engine power more immediately available, while Manual activates the downshift/upshift buttons on the steering wheel, which are an absolute joy to use when you're taking a few bends. The Electronic Damping Control is wonderful. In Comfort mode it irons out all the bumps for you, so the ride is super-smooth. Switch the mode to Sport (maximum damping) and you instantly feel the road surface more and the car corners absolutely flat. The bodywork has been regularly waxed properly all of its life, hence why it's basically in as-new condition now, with not a hint of corrosion anywhere. Negative points:(1) One of the previous owners seems to have liked kerbs, unfortunately, so there's some kerb-nibbling on the wheels. (2) There's a little indentation mark directly underneath the left headlamp where one of my neighbour's empty recycling boxes blew into it in the wind. A very special, very rare car in perfect condition. Any inspection and test drive welcome. Next MOT due 03/07/2025, Blue, 5+ owners, £7,850
