Description
A good example of the V6 powered Saab 9-3 Aero, with a manual gearbox. This car is well equipped with heated fronts seats, full leather interior, rear parking sensors, bi-xenon headlights, auto-dimming rear view mirror, and the ICM2 stereo system. If you are looking for a standard Aero then this is not for you as it has been well modified. The list of modifications is below. In my 3 year ownership it has been well cared for, and has been regularly serviced using Saab approved parts and fluids. I have changed the oil every 5000 miles for the past 30k. ALL of the spark plugs were changed 15k miles ago. I have only ever filled it with Shell VPower or 99 octane equivalent. Parts that have been changed in my ownership include; new coolant tank, new battery, new buttons for HVAC system, new gearknob and gator, new floormats, shark fin antenna, and new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 tyres, with plenty of tread left, all around. FSH. This is a very early 2006 car, meaning it does not have 600+ tax of the later cars. I have daily driven it for my whole ownership and it has never let me down. The engine is still strong and pulls very well in all gears. With the below supporting mods it is capable of well over 300hp with just an ECU remap, and anyone who knows these engines understands they can put out 400hp+ with a few more bolt-on parts. These are still cheap, don't let the dissolvence of the company put you off, you can still buy most of the parts off the shelf and they are a very capable car for not much money. I would keep it but I can't afford to modify it any more and need a cheaper run-around. Mod List - Do88 Intake system with cone filter (great induction noise) Courtenay Sport catless 3" downpipe which has been ceramic coated, and de resonated exhaust (sounds great without being too loud or drony) Bilstein B12 lowering kit (handles very well and isn't too low to daily drive) Astra VXR 18" alloys in anthracite. Front strut brace. Forge Motorsport turbo blanket. Bad Points. Aftermarket front lip, fits okay but I haven't bothered painting it. Passenger heated seat doesn't work, could just be the heating element. Few marks and stone chips and a small dent in the passenger front wing/door, could be paintlessly removed. Wheels could do with a refurb but are all straight. Included is the private plate J24 ERO (J2 AERO), a Do88 ally radiator which has a couple of pinholes, but can be repaired (RRP 400) and roof bars. Next MOT due 17/11/2024, Grey, 5+ owners, £2,500
