Selling our family car. We have owned this car for about 4 years. Purchased it with 115,000 miles. It has been maintained by a local BMW specialist and serviced on time. The same specialist rebuilt the top end of the engine for us after the timing chain snapped. This is a very common issue with these engines and cost us a fortune. If you are looking at a higher mileage one of these, you need to make sure the timing chain has been done or it is likely to go. The advantage for a buyer is that we have invested in this work and we also had both engine mounts changed recently. The MOT is also recent along with the last service, which was in July. All in all, we have invested about 6,000 into the car in the past 2 years. Cosmetically, the car is not brilliant. It has a small scuff to the rear passenger side bumper and some curbing to the wheels. Alongside, the usual door dings/ paint imperfections/marks from the age/mileage. I am sure some of this could be buffed out but just want to be open about it. The wheels would not be expensive to have refurbished, it's a simple job. Interior is in very good shape. All in all, a good opportunity to buy a luxury SUV at a fraction of the original price. These can go on forever with the right, regular, maintenance.
