UPDATE: The rust and rivets are fake - can be stripped down. Bodywork wasn't damaged, it's just top coat art paint. Car was purchased in 2013, after approx. 13-15 years in dry barn - with bent fender, scratched door already repaired. As per feedback given, car was classified as Category C as it was cheaper for insurer than actual repair (these cars were valued at 500 sterling thslat time) Prior to purchase - car served as spare parts donor, over the time, it retained excellent condition - way better than majority of Xjs bangers on the road (pre-purchase photos available). Last year of seires manufacture with 3.6 AJ6 engine - without CAT on board (9CU configuration, just do your research in Google). Car was sold, and re-purchased 5 years later (this is my second ownership). Fake rust - made with patina paint. Daily drive. Car is quite known in the area. 11 years of photographic documentation on what was done (a lot). Original (non-extreme) interior parts are coming with the deal - you can bring interior back to normal if you wish. Recent new tyres (235 back / 225 front), recent new front coil spings (Eibach sportline), tie rods and ends, bushes, rear calipers. MOT advisory related to ball joint rubber covers (cracked since 7 years, but air tight - got new ones, was advised to leave the old ones as new are not even close in quality). New this, new that.. Lots of new parts will be attached to the purchase (replacing parts for hobby and achievement badges). Never let me down, more reliable than new cars, roadworthy, not shiny rot-box XJS with forged MOT. De-airconned, de-carpetised (all metal visible). Perfect car for someone willing to fiddle with it (best web resources as well). Will drop some XJS specific tools for the deal as I won't need them. Any inspection welcome, can put the car on ramps to allow in-depth checks. Planned changes in life / no time for hobbies forcing sale.
