Description

Selling my XF due to downsizing our cars a little. It's been a joy owning the big Jag and getting to spend time in it, truly the most comfortable car I've ever spent time in and the only one I can spend eight hours driving with no back pain. Will average 48mpg at a steady cruise and still achieved 40mpg with four adults and a bootful of luggage and wine on a 1400 mile round trip to Loire valley - the perfect car for it. 240hp so plenty brisk in sport mode. The engine is mechanically the same as the S diesel and both will map up to 310bhp without modification - I never did but you can. The overall condition is very good with minimal cosmetic issues. Most recent MOT passed with no advisories and since then I've spent a decent chunk of time and money on this car including: four new tyres (2 Pirelli P-Zero, 2 other), both front wheel bearings, new Probite 380mm brake discs (vented, drilled and grooved [the brakes are incredible now]), new battery, new front window regulator systems on both sides and perhaps most importantly, stripped, cleaned and rebuilt the secondary turbo shutoff valve. This can get gunked up and stuck open resulting in reduced power operation. Check if this has been performed on similar mileage XFs as it's a 3 hour job to strip down with the car up on ramps. Consider also checking the window regulators as the doors suffered sealing issues and the steel cables in the regulators rust with water ingress and size or snap. These have been replaced and heavily lubricated to prevent the same happening again. The cables are relatively new so as they stretch slightly, the window operation is a tiny bit slow. Comes as standard with plenty of electronic goodies including cruise control, satnav, parking sensors front and rear, reversing camera and what I'm told are the the best heated seats ever (they get uncomfortably hot if left on in their hottest setting). I've priced this in line with similar good condition models; there are plenty which are tempting CHEAP, but be wary of these - there's a reason they are so much less. The only other bad point I can think of is the noise from the front tyres. They were needed on short notice and have a plenty of tread left, hence why I didn't swap them out, but the noise is noticeable. Price includes one extra near-new Pirelli P-Zero (ordering mixup), spare good condition battery and two ABS sensor cables from changing the wheel bearings. Meerkat toys are not included. Next MOT due 15/11/2024, Blue, 5+ owners, £4,595
