Description
Spectacular 1 of only 10 David Whitehurst Racing (DWR) Lightweight Cobras produced equipped with a 5.8l Stretched small block Ford Windsor V8. Originally built by David and Julian Whitehurst for Sebring International in 2004 at the cost of 54000 back then shows how serious the car is, after only covering 18000 miles we have recommitioned the car after been stood in a warehouse for nearly 10 years, the vehicle has also just been tuned after a carb rebuild. Some of the build highlights include the as new Raynard Designed Chassis, that incredible engine built by DWR a proper T10 Top Loader Gearbox, Jag Locker rear end and XJS brakes all round, Gaz fully adjustable coilovers (still with the original tape on them from when David & Julian built and set up the car 20 years ago) 15" image split rims (knock off spinners included) and genuine brand new Goodyear Billboard Tyres. The car can be MOT'd purely for peace of mind for the new owner if required even though it is MOT Excempt, with a manufacturers number plate from 1980. As much as it looks like & sounds like a vintage race car, it has never been used competatively, the vehicle came to us on BF Goodrich Road tyres (included in the sale if required) and 0 livery at all only the stripes are painted on but we thought the vehicle would bennefit looking as purposeful as it actually is but it can easilly be returned to a more solumn look by removing the vinyl.Well as solumn as a yellow V8 Cobra can be anyhow, absolutely not for the shy and retiring or faint hearted after a drive in this it is fair to say it is one serious machine. One incredible vintage looking sports car, running a serious motor that has been built properly with a catalogue of great parts.
