I am selling my Porsche Cayman 987 2.7 in Basalt Black Metallic. A January 2007 car on a 56 plate with 83000. I purchased this car on May 11th 2024 at 80000 miles, having had a major service at Porsche Centre Portsmouth in April. The drive belt, spark plugs, brake fluid, gearbox fluid were also done. I drove it back to Liverpool feeling like a King but found that the clutch pedal was sticking. I took it to Tech9 a few weeks later to have a good look over. We found that the underside was immaculate but clutch fluid line was leaking, a front damper was leaking and the air con condenser had seen better days. Had it all repaired along with some slightly worn rear wishbones and had a 4 wheel alignment. I didn't do the air con as it appears to be a slow leak, it still works semi decently, at least for the 8 days of summer we have. I purchased a set of Sport Design alloys with some Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres but have changed the wheels again to a set of refurbished Lobster Claw alloys. They're unmarked but the right rear has a few chips because it was manhandled by an ape. The grey interior is pristine, smells great, no rattles and everything works, although the headliner is pinned back. I had a Alpine CarPlay unit installed, spending a little more for this for the sound quality. Sounds great with the Bose amp. MOT pass in October with no advisories. The headlights have been refurbed and ceramic coated. The brakes, tyres and clutch have lots of life left. It drives like silk. I'm writing this on a Sunday night having had some bad news today.
