Description
I have owned this car for about 16 years and it that time I have had the body work repaired with aluminium which is what the body is made of. It also had a full respray. I also replace some of the timber frame. This was carried out by a shipwright. He was more used to building and repairing wooden boats but was happy to make the parts for me as he had the skill for bending and shaping wood. The main part replaced was the boot area. I also replaced the King Pins on the front suspension. When I purchased the car, the engine had the pistons and bearings replaced. The car drives fine. I only use it for vintage car shows, runs with my local club and a few family weddings. I have driven about 8000 miles in the time I own it. The seats were refurbished last year. The car was first registered on 26May 1939 to Mr. John Means Esq, Belton House, Wisbech, Cambridge, United Kingdom. The coachwork is by Windover's. The chassis no is WMB77. It still holds the original UK Registration; FXE 867. I have the UK paperwork. I am open to offers. I can send more photos if you require. May part exchange for prewar car. Red, 5+ owners, £40,000
