The car is totally original, just as it left the factory 26 years ago. 4 new shock absorbers, rear springs, front suspension and power steering pump. She is no trailer queen but an extremely reliable rust free example of this practical four seater convertible, powered by a super smooth 2.5 litre straight six producing a healthy 170 hp. Underbody seal professionally re done 2 years ago, sills treated with waxoil. Fitted with ABS, ASC (stability control), airbag & rollover protection, rear parking sensors, electric windows/mirrors, trip computer and climate control (needs a re gas as never been used by myself being a convertible...). Original BMW radio with 6 CD changer in boot. Very comfortable to drive as on original suspension set up & fitted with 15'' alloy wheels. Only selling to someone who appreciates her as she is - No boy racers please. Note regarding the cat N insurance rating: The damage happened shortly before I purchased the car from a dealer almost six years ago - it never affected the performance of the car in any way whatsoever. As the value of this type of car was rock bottom back then, even a small damage to the bodywork - as I was reassured by the seller that's all it was - caused a insurance write off to be applied. To the best of my knowledge the parts which got replace where the front bumper, the mask below the headlights/grill, the drivers side headlight as well as the drivers side indicator. All have been replaced with BMW parts . The bonnet got resprayed in the original Cosmos black metallic paint. The car comes with lots of receipts of work done since I took ownership + old MOT's and full service history booklet as well as the original owners manual.
