Description

CLASSIC 4.0 XJ JEEP CHEROKEE ORVIS - LOW MILEAGE, RECENT MOT, READY FOR A NEW HOME XJ Cherokee 4.0L Orvis Edition. NOW PRICED FOR A QUICK SALE. One of the lowest mileage 4.0L XJs currently for sale, in top level trim. Having been on sale for several months, I am now looking to move it on and have adjusted the price accordingly. This is not a perfect example by any means, and is priced accordingly - there is a crack in the windscreen and some dings in the bodywork, however the car has had plenty of work on it this year, including front drive shaft, new front tyres, anti roll bar bushings, transmission fluid flush and brake line repairs - it went through an MOT this November and has nearly 12 months left until the next one. With the famous 4.0L six cylinder engine, famous for its durability, ease of maintenance, and long lifespan. It's one of the most customisable vehicles ever, with a huge aftermarket for parts and accessories - second only to the Wrangler. Orvis Edition Trim: Premium leather seats, wood-effect paneling, Orvis running boards, and other unique details. This car has very low mileage for its age, with less than 100k miles on the clock after more than 25 years. Finished in Deep Amethyst Pearl, depending on the light, it can appear as a deep purple or navy blue, one of the iconic colour schemes for XJs. Just MOT'd, valid until 01/11/2025. Since I have had it I have fixed some bits to both improve the car and get it up to speed for MOT including: New tyres and nearside front drive shaft, front anti-roll bar bushings replaced, transmission flush with fresh fluid added, brake line and radiator repairs, plus electric window/lock switch and rear tailgate latch fixes."New" (original model) stereo installed (original included in the boot). This car reflects its age with a few dings and a crack in the passenger-side windscreen (doesn't affect visibility or MOT) and some typical underbody corrosion noted on the MOT. I've included photos for transparency. I had intended to gradually keep restoring the car and use as a second car, but I have too many projects on the go and something has to give. These are getting harder to come by at reasonable prices and price here reflects that it is certainly not a show car, but a really solid running vehicle that could be used as is, modified into an offroader/overlander or with a bit of TLC brought up to something really special. Next MOT due 01/11/2025, Purple, 5+ owners, £4,500
