For sale is my 2007 Discovery 3. Its done 133k and has a full years MOT. Almost full service history (it spent a couple of years off the road) Its a Java black GS with black leather. 2.7 tdv6 auto. When buying this Discovery i was specifically looking for a clean non sunroof example without side steps (didn't want to be dealing with leaks and rotten sills!) I also wanted black leather with the automatic gearbox so this ticked all the boxes.I then set out to make it as reliable as possible by replacing all the typical failure points. So in the past 8 weeks its had: Timing belt and tensioners, Later model webbed oil pump, Aux belt and tensioner, Oil and oil , Fuel, air and cabin filters, Brake fluid flush, Coolant flush, Egr delete and mapped out, Coil spring conversion with 2" lift, Front wheel bearings, Front upper arms, Front lower arms, Front arb drop links, Front arb bushes, Inner tie rods, Outer track rod ends, Front knuckles shot blasted and painted, Front discs and pads, Front brake hoses, Front abs sensors, Front diff oil, Rear diff oil, Propshaft (including centre bearing), Rear brake hoses and hard lines, Transmission oil flush and change, Steel Transmission sump pan, Brake servo and Vacuum pump hose (later modified version), Coolant expansion tank and level sensor, Stainless steel exhaust, Chassis braced tow bar, Discovery 4 style grill, LED head light bulbs, Front section of the chassis has been cleaned, any surface corrosion removed and treated, epoxy primed and then waxoiled and cavity oiled. I had no intention of selling it - hence doing all that work! But a friend of mine has just said he is going to be selling his very clean Toyota Surf which i really want so this unfortunately would have to go.I've just had the paintwork professionally polished so its as good as it can be! A few small scratches and dings still remain but its very presentable for a 17 year old 4x4 vehicle. The wheels would benefit from a refurb as the paint has flaked on a couple of them and the rear parking sensors currently dont work.
