For sale is this custom-finished 1972 chrome bumper MGB Roadster in Flame red with contrasting black hood and a bespoke Rolls Royce spec Magnolia nappa leather interior is probably the nicest example I've had the privilege to restore and drive. According to the MOT certificates, the car has only covered 12,000 miles since 1981. To recreate the feeling of buying new, a 'no-expense spared' approach has been adopted during this (and her previous) refurb. With various panels replaced, and a chassis / lower areas having been properly treated to cope with UK weather, from what I can see, the car is entirely rust-free. The engine, overdrive gearbox and all other mechanical and electrical functions work exceptionally well and make starting, accelerating, cornering and braking a pleasure. Photographic evidence show the work carried to include: new rear wings, doors, chassis and floor pans, inner and outer sills, inner wheel arches, windscreen frame and glassware plus an aluminum bonnet. Various steering and suspension components have also been renewed, along with new brake lines, brake pads, discs, shoes, various cables and linkages and brake servo. The fuel lines and cooling system are also as new. The work I've just completed includes: adding new 15 inch polished alloy wheels (including the spare) with new Avon ZT7 185/65/15 tyres, chrome wheel nuts, SU carb refurbishment, 12v battery, Rolls Royce-spec magnolia nappa leather on refurbished seats piped red, 6-way heated seats, thick pile carpets piped cream to the interior and boot, bespoke leather stitched centre console with analogue gauges, USB charger and hazard warning lights, walnut veneer screwed dashboard, solid walnut door cappings, door cards with carpeted lowers, drilled grab handles and winders, matched side trims, wood rimmed steering wheel, LED backlit instruments, a 40w JBL Bluetooth hard-wired detachable speaker, chrome bumpers, overriders, grill, Tex bullet mirrors and stainless threshold guards and a great deal more.
