I purchased this very original early car as a present for my wife this summer. It had stood for sometime so we had it mechanically recommissioned by a marque expert. I am a Porsche enthusiast and will only use correct parts and will not cut corners. This car has had; Full engine service Including plugs, all filters and belt. Gear box service including filter, gaskets and fixings. Only Mobil oil has been used. New gearbox and engine coolers. New brakes throughout. With new fluid. Coolant flush and renewal. Cabin filter, Bosch wiper blades with refurbished arms. Wheels refurbished and brand new period correct Pirelli tyres fitted x 4. New front suspension arms with fixings, new boot seal, new roof switch, new interior light, Porsche USB/USBc adapter. Recent new after market hood. Original factory fit behind driver storage and centre draft screen. Cruise control, alarmed and immobilised. It's the most fantastic drive now and in all honesty one of the best 986 variants I have driven. By no means is this car immaculate and there are still cosmetic items to improve. However as a everyday user or with a little TLC perhaps a show car it really takes some beating. No tyre kickers please, it owes more than it's up for. Many thanks.
