Fantastic specimen of a Mercedes Benz SLK250 (R172). This car has been a real joy to own, it has been well loved and looked after mechanically and cosmetically, COMPREHENSIVE SERVICE HISTORY available, mostly serviced by Mercedes. I am selling as I no longer need to commute for work and so don't need a car any more. This car has been extremely reliable, I have owned it for 2 years and the only issues I have had are a bulb and needing to replace the tyres. At 9 years old this car is in the sweet spot of being GOOD VALUE but still having the look and feel of a YOUNG AND ATTRACTIVE CAR. In the last 6 months this car has had 4 NEW TYRES which should last several years, I have also had the ALLOYS REFURBISHED and repainted just last week, recently flew through an MOT so good until next october. The roof mechanism is in perfect working order and moves surprisingly quickly, I have put the roof up while waiting at the lights before, great for a surprise shower. The car is surprisingly economical with the gearbox in ECO mode using only slightly more fuel than my wife's Punto, while in SPORT mode it really growls and is a real THRILL TO DRIVE. Clearly with the vario roof the car is attractive in the summer but it thrives in the winter too with heated seats and the luxurious air scarf. There is one full thickness scratch above the passenger side rear wheel arch, I have put some silver touch up paint over this to prevent rust but the cosmetic result is not perfect. It is obvious on close inspection but at any distance is not visible and does not ruin the sleek look of the car. The car is based in Brighton, please feel free to come and have a look at it.
