This has been our family car for longer journeys, as we have a city car, so the diesel engine hasn't had to cope with short trips. The fuel economy is ridiculous; my best was 71mpg on a 40 mile journey and it comfortably gives 52mpg on 70 mph motorway runs despite being a pretty powerful engine. It's one of the most comfortable cars to sit in, more like a lounge chair, with lots of adjustments. The standard equipment for the Ghia has most things, such as cruise control, excellent sound system, and the extraordinary heated FRONT windscreen which clears it in no time on a frosty morning. We have added body-coloured reversing sensors with a distance indicator readout by the steering wheel, and the normal beeping in the boot. We replaced the alloys about three years ago and they're all pristine except for a couple of minor scuffs on the passenger side front wheel. The previous owner installed a bluetooth hands-free cradle, and we've also put in a DAB radio which can pair with a phone. The service book is stamped to prove the car has been serviced every year when the MoT was done, and we've always completed all the work recommended. We'll pass on all the receipts. There's a tow hook with towing electrics socket. We've used this occasionally to tow a lightweight trailer, or small dinghy, never a caravan. Overall the bodywork and interior is in good condition with only very minor scrapes. We've touched up stone chips to avoid rust taking hold.
