Started life off as a Mini One and has been gradually transformed into an R53 (Cooper S) lookalike by the previous owner and then further upgraded and maintained by myself. 53 plate Looking for 1,500 ONO which reflects its current state, and the fact that I've spent over twice that amount on saving it from ending up in the graveyard. The reason I am selling it is because I am buying a flat and will no longer be able to fund its repairs, maintenance and renovations. Time to sell it on. Good points:- It's loud (Hornet exhaust)- drives well and feels solid for its age- has new and lowered suspension (sticks like super-glue in the corners)-New engine has covered about 80,000 miles and runs well. Fitted at 127k with new timing chain and remap.-Cheap to run. Bad points:-The main bad point is the original Midlands gearbox which is starting to show its wear at 145,000 miles. Ideally, needs the 6 speed upgrade and it would be a sweet drive.-Headlining temporarily fixed with wallpaper paste and holding on - It's loud!
