Description

Thanks for taking the time to view this ad for my 2005 Volvo V70 T5 auto (facelift) in Ruby Red with an Oak interior. ULEZ & CAZ compliant. I've owned this since December 2021 and have loved every minute - it started my love for 5 cylinder Volvo's and I've had three since then! Unfortunately I have to let it go as I do more miles for work now and this just isn't practical to run. When I was buying I had my heart set on a V70R but some of the stories put me off so I looked instead for a T5 and found this one - to me it's the perfect package as it does without all of the flash bits of the R but has 90% of the performance. Only the T5 badge and larger brakes give this car away, everyone will mistake it for a diesel but with 260 bhp it goes like the clappers and makes a fantastic noise doing so! Anyway, enough waffle, the important bits are: I had the timing belt, water pump, coolant and the auxiliary belt replaced in Feb 2022 (Volvo belt intervals are 10 years). The front wishbones were replaced in Oct 2022 and I did the front drop links around the same time. The steering rack failed and was replaced, along with the ends and a full alignment in Aug 2023. I had the transmission serviced in Sep 2023. The rear discs and handbrakes shoes have just been renewed (Sep 2024) along with the airbag module. I last did the oil & filter in Sep 2024, the car's just had a new MOT (expires end of Nov 2025) and I've just put 4 new tyres on so it's ready to go! Being a pre-2006 registered car it's in the cheaper tax bracket (it would be double!). The bulk of all the work has been done by a local specialist but I've used trusted local garages for some other jobs. Basic servicing I do myself either yearly or approx 3000 miles, whichever comes first. Unfortunately the car has a few battle scars which I've shown in the images but there's nothing too frightening considering it's nearly 20 years old. The wheels would benefit from a refurb as they're a bit corroded & curbed. The specialist I use believes that the engine has been replaced at some point which I wasn't informed of when I bought the car, I've never bothered to investigate further as it feels healthy and hasn't given me any trouble other than routine maintenance. I think that's everything, give me a call if you have any questions. Payment via bank transfer or cash please. Cheers!. Next MOT due 29/11/2025, Part service history, Red, 5+ owners, £5,000
