986 Boxster S 550 Spyder 50th Anniversary Special Edition (732 of 1953). C16 (UK RHD) supplied by Porsche Centre Guildford. Manual. Cabriolet. First registered 13/04/2004. 27,516 miles. A full year's MOT from point of sale. Finished in GT Silver Metallic with matching body colour roll bars and centre tunnel / console. Metropole blue leather interior. One owner from new with original bill of sale and comprehensive history celebrate the last model year for the 986 and 996 respectively, along with the company's 50th anniversary, Porsche released a limited-edition Boxster and 911. Porsche deemed the 986 Boxster to be a worthy successor to the legendary 550 Spyder launched in 1953. As such, this car gained its namesake and 1,953 of these cars were produced in its honour. This chassis is marked 732 of 1,953.Finding a well-looked-after 986 Boxster is a difficult thing to do these days. Happening across a manual, sub 30k mile, one owner, completely original example of an anniversary special edition is up there with hen's teeth and unicorn horns. This car is a delight.Purchased and spec'd by its only owner, this car was loved, driven and meticulously maintained (invoices totalling 1,000's) until 2011, when it was placed into storage due to a change of circumstances. We were delighted to acquire the car and we have spent considerable care and attention in presenting it. The car has been carefully checked over by specialists Porsche Torque, with no expense spared. Notably the car benefits from a new fuel pump, brake lines, 4x new tyres, major service and plugs. This Boxster drives like it is fresh out of the factory. A good 986 is a wonderful thing and this is comfortably up there with the best. The extra power that the 50th anniversary edition was given (up to 266bhp), coupled with a shortened gear throw, sportier suspension (10mm lower) and 4 piston aluminium brake callipers make this car a properly engaging drivers treat. Something that is so sadly lacking in modern cars of today.Perfect for a collector who perhaps has a 50th anniversary 996, or equally just for an enthusiast. A properly sorted sports car, hard to beat. This car is so good we genuinely nearly kept it for ourselves!. Next MOT due 05/06/2025, Silver, 1 owner, £22,995
