Description

Hi and welcome to the much regretted sale of my sons beautiful 3.4S Cayman. He has torn his ACL playing football and following reconstruction surgery cannot get in it let alone drive it! We did our homework on these cars and looked long and hard for the right one, we walked away from 6 others before finding this one. These are a proper sports car, better than a 911 of the same era and can genuinely be used as a daily drive. This one has a full and comprehensive service history, both main dealer and independent. Most recently it went into Porsche specialists, GT One, who know the car and completed one of the biggest jobs you face with one of these, new OEM clutch, duel mass flywheel and the all important rear crankshaft oil seal. At the same time they replaced the control linkage on the gearshift. These cars often need a clutch at around 90k miles and this has just been done so a big worry ticked off for the new owner. This one is also bone dry underneath, no oil leaks and this is a big issue on these cars and is why we walked away from most of the ones we looked at. There is no IMS issue with this car and no bore scoring issues either. The car has some very desirable factory fitted options including, factory short shifter, hard shell 2 way electrically adjustable sports seats, 19" Carrera Classic alloys, PASM Porsche Ative Suspension Management, Xenon headlights, Sport Chrono Pack, PCM 2, Climate Control, Porsche European Sat Nav, Rennsport Exhaust system which really enhances the engine sound but not too loud, the standard exhausts are too quiet in my opinion. It also has professional wheel spacers and bolts, 15mm at the front and 20mm on the rear and these hugely improve the stance of the car. Everything works as it should on the car, it has just had new Brembo discs and pads on the front and Brembo pads on the rear, it also benefits from a brand new Bosch battery with a transferable 4 year warranty. The central locking, electric windows and Porsche remote alarm all work properly, these are a common issue on these cars as well as the window droppers initiated by lifting the door handle, again a lot of the cars we looked at had faults with these, this one is perfect. To sum up, this car needs nothing, it is a great usable Cayman, it drives absolutely perfectly, just as one of these should, the steering and suspension are perfect, the brakes are amazing and the engine pulls like a train with no smoke or unwanted noises. You will not find a better one. Next MOT due 16/08/2025, Blue, 5+ owners, £12,995
