Description
2008 E82 BMW 123d Coupe M Sport, in Sapphire black with special order Boston Beige interior. I acquired the car in July 2024 at 111k miles, now at nearly 115k. I am the 6th owner. The car comes with a stamped service book at BMW dealers at first, changing to non-franchise garages from 79k. The car comes with the v5C, book pack, two keys, a few receipts and current Mot which is until 6th August 2025. The v5C states non-transferable registration mark so I think the car had a private plate for a while then returned to the original registration. I have HPI checked it (02/12/2024) and it comes back as all clear.
It remains in decent condition for it's age. There are various minor scratches and scuffs (some touched in) on the body but nothing that overly detracts. The pictures do make it look very shiny! There is a minor dimple dent on the nearside rear wing swage line, and a touched in paint scratch above the fuel filler flap. There are the first signs of minor rust bubbles on the offside front wing where it meets the front bumper. The headlights are slightly milky at the tops. The windscreen has three stone chips in it but none are in the Mot 'field of vision area' and so do not constitute an Mot fail, but I think might be on the Mot advisories. The alloy wheels were refurbished before I bought it. The car has Goodyear Efficientgrip tyres all round with at least 5mm tread on all corners. I have the locking wheel nut key.
The interior is in very tidy condition and comes in the rare special order boston beige leather. The seats are manual but are heated which work. There is a bit of wear on the drivers outer back rest bolster which has not seriously weakened the leather but has taken the colour off with the natural hide colour showing through. The air con still blows cold and everything electrical works normally. The only fault is that the radio screen sometimes works perfectly and is fully legible, but at other times up to 90% of the pixels do not light up so you can't e.g. read the radio station or track number for the CD though the radio works fine.
It drives well though there is an occasional creaking from the rear suspension (the garage advised it is the offside lower hub bush and said it doesn't need changing currently) but it doesn't affect the way it drives. While I have had it I have replaced the MAF sensor and had the tracking reset.
