Description

Land Rover TD5 110 Hard top 1 owner 77k Original and unmodified. It still has its dealer reg. plates and tax disc holder. MOT 21/10/25 This was owned by my late uncle who bought it new in Hinckley and it stayed local all of its life, never living more than 10 miles from the dealership it came from. It is completely original and hasn't been messed with unlike so many. They are hard to find like this. It has been off the road since 2014 and has undergone the necessary recommissioning required to get it back on the road. It rolled freely when it was removed from my uncle's property. - New brake discs and pads all round along with new pistons, seals and pad locking hardware in all 4 callipers. - Both front brake flexi hoses and rear axle flexi have been replaced. - Hubs reassembled with inspected and re-greased (using a grease packing tool) wheel bearings, new flange gaskets and new hub lock nuts. - New clutch master cylinder followed by a full brake fluid flush. - Full engine service comprising of all filters and engine oil twice (refilled, engine ran then drained again). - New injector harness and rocker cover gasket. - Coolant flushed and vac filled using correct grade/mixing ratio of antifreeze with de-ironised water. - New battery. The bodywork does show a few battle scars but it wears them well. After all, this was purchased to be a work horse. There are a couple of small spots on the bulkhead that could do with attention. By far not the worst considering its time stood still. The rest of the underbody is pretty solid, only showing signs of surface rust and mildew build up. It was hard to refrain from fully polishing it and getting the underneath dry ice blasted. The interior is used but in good condition. The driver's seat has suffered slightly as my uncle was stocky and over 6ft. All of its original features remain. Original book pack, sales receipts and all keys are present. Part service history and all receipts for the recommissioning. Overall it's an original honest Defender to use as is. The temptation to keep this and restore it has been a constant debate. Alas, here it is. An opportunity for someone else to decide and give it a deserving home. It is 25 years old in April so will be USA exportable without the need of modification to comply with US laws. I can assist with delivery to a dock for shipping if needs be. Bank transfer only and funds need to be cleared before it goes anywhere. Please get in touch with any questions.
