Description
Our Nissan Leaf is a great car and due to starting a family we needed something bigger. It is fun to drive & packed with kit (360 cameras, radar cruise control, Navigation, android auto/apple car play, single-pedal driving, heated steering, heated seats front and back, phone App-control). The app-control heating in the winter is absolutely golden.
This was our first intro into electric vehicles and we will never go back!
It has been perfectly reliable since purchase in May 2023, with absolutely no issues whatsoever, and let's be honest there isn't much to go wrong on an electric car anyway, part of the benefit of ownership.
Road tax is currently at no cost, this is due to change in April 2025 but will still be considerably less than an equivalent petrol or diesel car, with the overall cost of ownership still considerably less when charged cheaply at home or work.
This car costs very little to charge at home on a cheap overnight tarriff, with Octopus we can fully charge the car for 310pence (I couldn't enter pounds in the listing), and you can get approx 80-100 miles range depending on how you drive the car, it will say 154 miles at 100% but we have never had more than 120 at best. You have to bare in mind that if you drive at 70mph with no regenerative braking then you will use more electricity, if you are using it on A/B roads and around town then it's very good as you will charge the battery while braking.
The car is still showing 100% battery capacity - note that the battery warranty ends 28/01/2028 this is an 8year/100,000 mile warranty giving you peace of mind.
We have only charged the car on a fast DC charger 3-4 times, all other charging has been done at home on the 13a AC charger included with the car, this has helped with the battery degradation level which has yet to show on the gauge - photo attached.
If you are looking for a great quality car, which is entertaining to drive, and packed with kit, then don't look any further.
Even Nissan hasn't improved this car, if you go into a dealership today you can expect to pay 30k+ for a new Leaf and its basically the same.
