Description

Jaguar XJ6 3.2 Sport Automatic X300 - with only 65000 Miles I've put together a general write up and a comprehensive history of the car, please take the time to have a good read and appreciate the quality of the car that is for sale here. I have owned this XJ6 for almost 14 years, for the last 10 years it has been kept in a dry, indoor and dehumidified storage facility. MOT expires May 2025. The reason I am selling this car is that I need to thin out my collection of 13 cars and after nearly 14 years of ownership and being that I also own a modern Jaguar XJ, I feel now is the right time to make this available to a fellow enthusiast! This XJ presents incredibly well! seeing is believing though, so if you are interested or want to know more the best thing to do is come and see it! Classic Car Mart say: 'Conventional wisdom amongst enthusiasts is that the Jaguar X300 is the best example of the XJ saloons and therefore the one to go for.' This XJ6 has an extensive service history and receipts which is available by email upon request. The interior is finished with full leather (oatmeal colour) which is in almost perfect condition. Very soft and supple leather with almost no signs of wear. The headlining is starting to sag but it is not so bad that it needs reupholstering yet. Dark wood dash and trim, electronic height adjustment on drivers seat, climate control, adjustable steering column, trip computer & electric windows. There are factory fitted mats and a matching wooden gear knob. As with 99.9% of XJ6's the digital clock is not working - there is just a problem with with the LCD display and a relatively easy fix. The tricky bit is getting access to it to replace it otherwise I would have done this. I feel the risk of damaging the interior finish by removing the clock outweighs the benefit of having a working clock. Externally the car is in fantastic condition, a couple of minor marks but nothing serious and of the magnitude that you would find on a more modern car! The paint has a glorious polish to it and gleams, the chrome is perfect too. As with all cars though it's best that you come and see this for yourselves! Mechanically the engine sounds sweet as a nut, no nasty noises or fluid loss. The suspension and steering are sharp and refined, the brakes stop the car smoothly and in a controlled manner - even at motorway speeds. This must be one of the best examples of an X300 3.2 XJSport to come up for sale in the last few years.
