This Beetle was manufactured in October 1972 and sold by Renwicks Garages in Bristol, the area where it spent most of its life until I purchased it in early 2023. Prior to my ownership, it had sat mostly unused for a few years due to the previous owner passing away. This led to a number of minor issues which have since been remedied, such as: ~ Replacement of points with an electric ignition system ~ New 185/70HR15 Vredestein Sprint tyres ~ New drum brakes and shoes all around ~ New ignition switch ~ Stainless steel hubcaps and exhaust pipes ~ Replacement fuel lines to handle modern petrol It's currently at around 87500 miles - 11000 of which have been put on by myself through daily use since purchasing in January 2023 but also from longer trips to Cornwall and the New Forest. With the Beetle being my only car the mileage is subject to increase since the listing of this ad. The car comes with a folder of paperwork, including receipts of all its work, old tax discs and the original bill of sale from 1973. There are a few blemishes here and there, but overall the condition is excellent for a 52 year old car still in daily use. The seals still work brilliantly in typical Beetle fashion and the engine fires up first try every morning. It's been a joy having this car, but the time's come for me to try something else with a bit more practicality.
