Porsche 987 Gen 1 Cayman 2.7, registered 09/06, in Arctic Silver with black leather, with a great driver-focussed specification and the benefit of an upgraded suspension setup thanks to the Bilstein B6 dampers fitted in 2018. Now showing 84,931 miles, the car a full service history from Porsche and Porsche specialists, and features factory fitted options Sports Seats, Sports Chrono with a black faced stopwatch, extended leather to the dashboard and door panels, Park Assistant, 18" Cayman 987.1 5-spoke alloy wheels, grained leather sports steering wheel (round centre). A short-shift gearbox kit has been fitted which reduces the gear travel and play. In August 2024, the car was fitted with a double DIN touchscreen head unit with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. At the same time, a serious stereo upgrade which sounds amazing and is a significant sound upgrade. The car has had LED spars fitted which has modernised the front look of the car, as well as the improved functionality. The car also benefits from upgraded Nighteye LED headlights, again providing a real lighting upgrade over the standard headlight bulbs. The car has a clear engine cover fitted, along with the engine being professionally cleaned and detailed which now shows off the amazing engine. Note that this does introduce some more noise into the cabin (original engine cover will be included in the car sale). On the road drives superbly, the 245bhp 2.7 litre flat-six providing ample performance and a stirring sound track. The steering is precise and full of feel as only a good hydraulic system can be, but the highlight is the handling and ride quality delivered by the uprated Bilstein B6 "monotube" dampers. They are slightly firmer than standard, but offer improved control and suppleness. The brakes are in excellent condition with a good firm pedal feel. The car also sounds as good courtesy of a Carnewal exhaust mod. In 2018 the suspension links and full brake disc replacement were replaced. In 2022 the rear trailing arms, alloy crossover pipes and rubber coolant hoses were replaced. In March 2023, both front coil springs were replaced and, 2024 both the front AC condensers were also replaced. Although the 2.7 engine in the Cayman is known to be very reliable, in June 2022 a precautionary bore scope inspection was done with no sign of any scoring on the cylinder walls. Last service/MOT was July 2024 at 83,928 miles. All of the above with receipts showing a very comprehensive document history.
