1958 VW Karmann Ghia Lowlight, Real Eye Catcher This Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is the extremely rare Lowlight version built in 1957 and registered in 1958 is in very good condition and was originally built for a customer in Portugal and it comes with the original Portuguese number plates as part of its provenance. It is currently located in the North West of England (UK). The Lowlight is a very rare and early variant of the VW Karmann Ghia, built between 1955 and 1959 and recognisable by the smaller taillights and the air inlets in the nose with two fins. This vehicle comes with an original VW certifikat which means its engine and chassis number have been officially verified by VW and have sent the owner a certificate to confirm the vehicle is as original in terms of body/chassis and engine. It has been kept in dry storage its entire time in the UK so its rust free and the chassis and underside are very clean. The vehicle benefits from New white wall tires and new CSP disc brakes to improve its handling on UK roads. This car is not 100% original and this is reflected in the price but it looks great and drives even better The Cream and green paint is in great condition with absolutely no rust after its nut and bolt restoration. The interior of the car has fully renewed beige/green seats. The original 1198 Type I, 30 HP engine is in an excellent condition. The odometer reads 37,818,the actual mileage is 106,000 as it had a replacement odometer during the restoration, this is still very low for a 55 year old vehicle.
