Description
We've decided to part with our beloved Audi TT after 6 wonderful years of ownership. It's been an absolute joy to drive and has given us some great memories, including an unforgettable trip to Le Mans last summer.
Sadly, with increasing mileage for work, it's no longer practical for me to use as a daily driver, so it's been replaced by something a bit more ordinary (and frugal).
About the Car:
* Mileage: 185,000
* Engine: 3.2L V6 - still strong and sounds as beautiful as ever.
* Transmission: DSG (Dual-Clutch Automatic).
* Colour: Avus Silver
* Interior: Silver leather with heated seats that work perfectly - brilliant for chilly mornings.
* Wheels & Tyres: Refurbished standard 18" alloys, professionally fitted spacers, and Michelin Pilot Sport tyres in great condition all round.
Recent Maintenance:
Over the past few years, we've invested quite a bit into keeping the car running well. In the last six months alone, it's had:
* A new driveshaft.
* A new alternator.
* A new battery.
The car also had a full service at 170k, where the engine oil, Haldex oil, and Haldex filter were taken care of by Regal Autosport in Southampton.
MOT:
Valid until 27th March 2025.
The Honest Bits:
She's an old girl now, so there are a few quirks to be aware of:
* The airbag light has a habit of coming on, particularly if you adjust the driver's seat. It's likely the sensor under the seat, but we've not had it fixed.
* The AC works but the blowers on full don't clear the windscreen as well as they used to - there may be an issue here.
* There's some corrosion to one of the front wheel arches.
* There's some scuffs and small dings here and there with the most notable one pictured on the rear lower bumper.
* The service history is full up to about 100k but gets patchy after that.
That said, the car is still great to drive it handles and grips brilliantly, thanks to the V6 engine and Quattro all-wheel drive. It's not perfect, but it's honest and a nailed on future classic. I'm sure we'll regret selling it in years to come.
