Here's an incredibly well-sorted 996 Carrera which is ideal for fast-road and track fun. The 911 had a Hartech engine at 100,000 miles, just 10,000 miles ago, plus a new air-conditioning compressor. Before that, it was fettled by well-known Porsche specialist RPM Technik. They fitted lowered suspension, a new lightweight flywheel and a CSR exhaust (which sounds simply wonderful). The car also has the rare factory limited-slip differential, so the overall package feels really tight and well-sorted. This is also a great-looking car, inside out and out. It is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with 18-inch Turbo Twist wheels, and sits really well on the lowered suspension. The interior is stunning in full Boxster Red leather, with the sporty aspirations enhanced by the very comfortable hard-backed Sports seats, and Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel. The centre console is finished in Arctic Silver, as are the instrument bezels, and the car has the rare non-smoking pack which replaces the ashtray with a handy cubbyhole. A modern Sony head unit completes the interior. The Porsche has a well-documented history, with two service books. The last service was in July 2024 at 108,356 miles. This really does show how well 996s can perform. The power, handling, steering and sound are all spot-on. It's a proper 911 in name and nature, and is an absolute hoot to drive.
