CAR NEEDS TO BE TOWED AWAY AND REPAIRED! Fabulous family vehicle had been nothing but reliable until very recently when the gearbox wouldn't engage gears. There were no noises coming from either gearbox or engine prior to this. The DSG Auto Gearbox and engine both smooth running. I have taken to a couple of garages and both seem to think something called the mechatronic isn't engaging and needs repairing/replacing. Currently you can turn the car on and the engine sounds great, but gears will not engage so cannot move forward or backwards so stuck on the driveway. I've had the RAC and mechanic use a diagnostic system to clear the faults which gets it going for a short while but then it goes back to not engaging gears again. You will need the means to tow it away and take to a garage that can do mechatronic/ gearbox repair. Please NO TIME WASTERS! Understand that the car needs repair before you can drive it. Price is as stated or nearest offer. Wished I could repair it myself, but recent unemployment and hospitalisation have prevented me. Clean inside and out. 4 good tires, engine runs lovely. Oil service for both engine and gearbox were done around 2 months ago. If I don't answer please leave a message and I'll get back to you asap.
