Description
I am sorry to have to let her go but sadly I can no longer afford to keep two vehicles on the road. She has been well looked after and I can honestly say that this Bongo is awesome. She has been a true work horse and thankfully, I have never had any issues with her engine. She has so many more miles to give but just needs some tlc, specifically welding on front inner sills and rear arches, to get her through her next MOT.
Since I took ownership in 2016 (direct import from Japan) she has been serviced annually and has had any advisory work done, there and then.
I have just had a pre MOT assessment (see photo) and I am at a point where the cost of repairs (welding) and insurance are outweighing the use that she is getting as my second vehicle. After much soul searching, I have decided to let her go, as she deserves new adventures!
I had always intended to convert her but, alas, my financial situation dictates otherwise . However with a small investment, she would make an amazing conversion project or with a bit of tlc would simply be the workhorse you need to do anything and everything.
Internally everything is good condition for the vehicle age. The leisure battery is currently flat, so there are issues with the workings of internal electrics however this would easily be sorted with a new leisure battery or by reverting relay back to the main battery. Electrics blinds, inner lights, pop top were all working summer 2024 but have not been working since leisure battery lost its charge.
Brand new alternator fitted last March plus welding. See images.
New Dawn Conversion front passenger swivel seat fitted in 2019, which made a road trip for 3 to Scotland much more comfortable!!
I will be sad to see this little Bongo go but I am hopeful that she will have many more road trips ahead before her time is up. She deserves to be with someone who will love her!!
