Description
I am the 2nd owner of this beautiful rare 9-3 Aero Carlsson.
Owned for the past 4 years and a very reluctant sale, only because I need an estate which I have already bought.
In the last couple of years the car has had the all the following new parts :-
Battery.
Coil Springs.
Injectors.
Coil Packs (Bosch).
Plugs (Bosch).
Tyres.
MAF Sensor.
MAP Sensor.
Catalytic Converter.
Brake Pads.
All 4 wheels have just been refurbished and look mint.
None of the above (except tyres, pads and cat) had to be done but I am particular about keeping a car in a condition were it is reliable and safe.
Has a service history, SAAB while they were still trading and then specialists. Since I have owned the car it has been looked after by a local garage the owner of which is also a personal friend so I know all the work has been carried out correctly and to the letter.
Just turned over to 78K miles which is just about run in for this engine.
I have fitted a more up to date stereo head so music can be played (on the BOSE system) from a memory stick, the original only allowed a single CD.
I have the original head which will come with the car if a new owner wanted to put it back to factory.
Car starts, runs and stops perfectly.
There is also a spare ECU with the car, it developed a misfire last year which was thought to be a fault with the ECU so I sourced a replacement. It transpired that the problem was with the Catalytic Converter which has been replaced with a new one.
Flew through it's MOT in November but if I get the price I want I am more than happy to put a full years ticket on it.
If you are looking at this car then you know these cars are rare and getting rarer by the day, sure to be a classic soon. I would never describe a 14-15 year old car as mint because it would not be true but it is in VERY good condition and will give many more years of very enjoyable driving.
