Description
A third generation or "JK" Wrangler.
Externally, this car is uniquely finished in "Tank Green". It's a rare colour that was only made available for just a few months, which means this is believed to be 1 of just 5 examples in the UK. The car has been subjected to a host of overlanding upgrades.
At the front, is a heavy-duty front bumper that is fitted with a Zeon 8 winch, and there is a Rigid Radiance LED light bar and pod light set up. Along the flanks, Poison Spyder-supplied rocker plates are fitted to protect the sill panel during any off-road activity and at the rear a Go Industries bumper.
The suspension and wheels are not standard either, firstly there is a 3.5" JKS lift kit, raising the whole car to increase ground clearance and maximise its off-road ability. To make the most of that, a set of Method Race wheels wrapped in 37" tall Cooper SST tyres. To cover the new much wider and taller wheels are a set of Poison Spyder Arch Flares. The rear has been upgraded with Chromoly-half shafts to near bulletproof the axle assembly. Finally, the exterior is topped off by a Maximus Roof Rack assembly that includes a tent box, perfect for an overlanding getaway.
These upgrades take this already capable off-roader to new levels, no area is to be left un-explored in a car like this. And this work isn't cheap! Over 14,000 was spent to take this Rubicon from a trailblazer to a trail-crusher.
The first thing you'll notice are the Rough Country grab handles to help heave yourself into it - on your way up you'll notice the interior roof lining is finished in black, unlike the more common white. Black cloth seats with Rubicon embroidery and contrasting white stitching allows seating for five.
Up on the b-pillar you'll notice an assortment of ancillary switches, as well as on the dash by your right knee the controls to lock the differentials and disconnect the sway bar for maximum axle articulation. Under the bonnet, you'll find a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6. It produces around 285bhp, but more importantly 260 lb-ft of torque. Plenty for you to use at a lower RPM whilst traversing rocky terrain. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic, sourced from Mercedes-Benz. Now, this Jeep is ready to find its next adventure with a new owner. It's ready to take on anything you can throw at it. It could well be the perfect lifestyle vehicle, camping, surfing, green-laning or even a cruise into Central London thanks to its ULEZ-compliant status. A full digital folder is available.
