Description
I have owned the car for 11 years. I bought it with a full service history from a reputable dealer. It has been fully serviced and maintained since then by specialist Land Rover mechanics. I have complete records of all work done in my ownership. I have used it as a daily runner and for voluntary 4x4 Response work.
Key features:
- New rear half chassis, battery box and brake master cylinder in August 2023
- Replacement engine Sept 2022. (Donor vehicle was a Discovery. The engine is reported to have done only 96,000 miles when fitted.)
- New heater matrix in February 2022
- All three doors and front door cards have been replaced in my ownership
- Swing-away, rear door wheel carrier
- Replacement LED lights, spotlights and work lights fitted
- Complete new suspension fitted - springs and shock absorbers - July 2019
- Goodrich AT tyres
- Locking wheel nuts
Extras:
- Sterling Cat 1 alarm immobiliser plus manual power disconnection switch
- Stainless steel exhaust system
- Sealed snorkel air intake system that has been effective at over 1m wading depth
- Rock and tree sliders
- Rebel steering and sump guards
- Red booster servo clutch system
- Fully operational towing system
- Front fitted external Anderson connector and heavy duty jump leads for 4x4 Response recovery work
- Flashing amber beacons all round for use in 4x4 Response work
Known Issues:
- Bodywork is generally very good, but there are one or two marks, plus a historical poor attempt at removing a roof dent that pre-dates me.
- Paintwork is mostly very good, but some panels have faded, particularly the passenger door and bonnet.
(I believe it is called 'patina' and could be said to add character!)
Overall:
This Land Rover is in excellent condition considering its age. I have loved owning it and am really sorry to let it go, but life marches on! Whoever buys this will have great fun in it. I will miss it sorely.
