This example has been built from a fully fabricated (Gartrac) shell to full group 2 / 4 specification and finished in Ford Diamond White and sitting on genuine Revolution 6" x 13" Minilite style 8 spoke wheels wrapped in Toyo Tyres.
SHELL
This car has been built from a fully fabricated (Gartrac) shell to full Grp2 (4) specification.
Historic specification to include short rear link boxes, round upright turrets, fully strengthened and seam welded to include Safari spec front inner wing top mounts, sill jacking points, rear four links and Panhard rod turrets, boot mounted tank platform, dry sump tank platform, and all necessary strengthening throughout the bodyshell. Fitted with 14-point Safety Devices bolt-in cage with door bars, floor mounted seat rails and mounts. Solid Dry sump pipes fitted through both front and rear bulkheads with heavy duty flexible hoses fitted inside main car and boot to Gomm dry sump (currently running wet for road use) tank located on platform. Rear pillar mounted fuel filler with flexible hose connected to boot platform mounted shaped alloy tank. World Cup cross member, front and rear bulkheads fire-proofed for conformity. Boot mounted spare wheel pillar. Shell painted in Ford Diamond White (exterior) and Satin Black (inside)
ENGINE
Holbay 2.4L wet sump Pinto on 205 block. All steel Farndon Crank and rods, ultra big valve head, Race cam, twin 48DCOE Weber carburettors, Aldon distributor with Lumenition ignition system. High output alternator. Fitted with Gartrac World Cup Engine mountings and cross member. Tony Law large bore Exhaust manifold and system.
SUSPENSION / STEERING / BRAKES
World Cup Bilstein front legs with fixed platform tarmac springs, World Cup roller bearing top mounts, tarmac coil springs. Bilstein fixed rear shock absorbers, multi-leaf slipper springs, 2" lowering blocks.
Gartrac high ratio steering rack with green trackrod ends. Column fitted with Electric Power Steering kit, adjustable as necessary. This is not allowed for historic class in rallying, can be easily reverted back standard if required.
Front AP Monte Carlo callipers, AP vented Discs and Grp4 Bells. Rear large diameter Grp2 drums. Hydraulic handbrake. Competition pads and linings with Castrol competition brake fluid and braided hoses throughout. Gartrac bias pedal box.
REAR AXLE
Gartrac Baby Atlas axle, braced and strengthened with 4.6 crown wheel and pinion fitted to ZF limited slip differentia.
GEARBOX
4 Speed Quaiffe professional gearbox with alloy (cable) bellhousing and heavy-duty rear mount. Single piece Atlas propshaft. AP twin plate paddle clutch.
MISC
Twin Cowl works type dashboard with Smiths instruments inc electronic Rev Counter and Speedo. Fully fused and wired throughout with aircraft spec wiring loom.
Fitted with Cutout switches (int and ext), full fireater system. Heated front screen. Genuine Cibie Biode Headlamps with headlamp shields. Genuine Cibie Super Oscars (2) and Oscars (2) fitted to quick release brackets. Lucas 576 rear mounted reversing lamp. Magard Sump guard. Revolution 6" x 13" Minilite style 8 spoke wheels.
