Description
Reluctant sale, London parking permits for cars without emission data are going through the roof.
Imported myself through Jap Auto Agent in 2021. I obtained the certificate of conformity from Japan to register the car as ULEZ compliant with DVLA.
I bought the car with approximately 25k miles on it. Before the car was even shipped from Japan I had the following work done:
- nearside sliding door mechanism repair
- cambelt replacement, pulleys and tensioners, coolant and oil change
- conversion of dash from km/h to m/h.
- sleek LED rear fog light
Since its arrival in the UK the car had the following done:
- 4x Vredestein Quadrac Pro all-season tyres
- Yakima roof bars
- Towbar fitted with electrics
- Underside of car sealed (the underside of the car was in pristine condition, white paint still white, it was sealed to keep it that way with a waxy substance)
- LPG conversion by the wonderful team at Profess LPG Ltd in Wales, 90L tank, with filling port concealed next to the petrol fuel cap. Recently serviced.
- New custom-cut anthracite carpets throughout. I didn't want to tarnish the beige luxury carpet that came with the Alphard. I removed them and stored them in my garage, and had the new ones installed so I could be a bit less precious about the interior. The new carpet still looks fresh, old one has been stored since the car had 25k miles on it.
- Sony XAV3500 head unit
- Alpine PWE-S8 under seat subwoofer, installed professionally with it's own fused supply through the firewall.
- front and rear bumpers re-sprayed, headlights polished.
This car is my pride and joy and has sailed through every MOT. There is one downside, which is paint blistering/pealing on the roof above the front windscreen. It's not very visible, re-spray would be expensive. It either needs a viny wrap on the roof or if the car gets converted to a camper, then the roof doesn't matter anyway. Headlining slightly sagging above driver door.
MOT runs out end of Feb, if the car doesn't sell by then, will get a new MOT and service done. Not in a rush to sell, so no unlikely to take offers.
