FORD CAPRI 1980 V reg 3.4 Lt Ghia Manual Re-registered in 2024 as a rare Essex 3415cc V6 Manual with a 5 speed uprated gearbox conversion. Owned for the last 40 years. Full nut and bolt rebuild and body renovation done over 20 years ago, including new front wings and rear arches, a full glass-out respray in mallard green. (Full details on request). The engine conversion was completed in 2006 including high performance unleaded cylinder heads, all new internals an 80mm long stroke 'Ford' crankshaft, triple D.C.N.F 42 weber carbs, new high performance clutch assembly. All fully lightened and balance, Dyno @ 236 BHP. A rebuilt Borg-warner 'T5' gear box replaced original. The original rear axle was totally rebuilt and upgraded using a new Quaife A.T.B. L.S.D. (Full details on request). The original 'Ghia' interior has been replaced with a full Recaro half leather 2.8i special package including carpets and rear seat belts. The car was off the road previously from 1997 only returning for a short period in 2007 and has been off-road since. Dry stored for the last 20 years. The fuel, cooling and exhaust systems, breaking and suspension, wheels and tyres have all been replaced with new high performance items and have only covered 151 miles to date since the car's last M.O.T. in 2007.
