Description
Welcome to the sale of 'Oscar', a completely original and unmodified Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 medium wheelbase station wagon. Owned initially by a Lake District Mountain Rescue Team from new on 1 Mar 2002, and fitted out at with all the extra's you see attached today as a special build, Oscar has had a very interesting life! Used as the command & control vehicle, Oscar would attend an incident at the foot of a mountain to dispatch the search dogs, then act as a command post, and subsequently would receive casualties brought off the mountain. After 12 years of service in the Lake District, Oscar then moved to Scotland to his second MRT. Used again as the command vehicle, he provided another superb decade of service before being purchased by an NHS Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Team in Southwest England. Here Oscar was once again the command post vehicle for major and critical incidents. In all three locations, Oscar has been kept garaged. Having proved the concept of use as an EPRR vehicle, Oscar has now made himself redundant as new vehicles have been funded. Sadly, Oscar must now find a new home.
NOTE: As this description box is too small for all the information I want to give, I have put the above information and all the essential further information as a series of pictures at the end of the advert. There you will find all of Oscar's history and detailed description. Thank you for reading.
Regards, Chris
