I absolutely love this car, this is an extremely reluctant sale - however I need a bigger car. Only 93350 miles and it's a 2009 facelift example. I am the 5th owner. Can be viewed in Durham or possibly in London (by request). Good points: - I have a lot of information from the previous owner about the Cat S repair (carried out by him), including receipts totalling over 2k, as well as a pre-purchase inspection I had done which shows the superb quality of the repair. - Drives very well, engine and gearbox are really smooth. Never had any issues with this aspect of the car. - On lowered Eibach springs, nothing silly but improves handling tenfold and suprisingly even comfort is better. Also looks the part - PRHT (power retractable hard top) version, far more secure than a soft top and no risk of leakage from rain etc. - Mileage is low for the age of the car - no reason why it can't keep going for some time - Generally rust-free. Inspection by an MX5 specialist in December 2022 showed no significant rust at the time. - Mainly stored in a covered multi-storey carpark. - Proper Yuasa 12v battery fitted. - Will include a custom metal shift knob, much nicer than the original (will include the original too). - Driver's door is from a newer, higher spec car with better noise insulation and faster window operation. Bad points: - Could do with new brake discs, there seems to be slight warping. - Exhaust has a minor leak, I believe at the muffler. - Some incomplete service history between 2012-2015. - AC system needs refreshing. - There is some odd 'corrosion' (doesn't look like typical rust to me, on the rear right roof section shown in the photos.
