Selling my low-mileage MINI Cooper S (R53) Checkmate edition which was originally bought as a fun project car but due to an upcoming road trip around Europe I need something much bigger. These sought after special editions were the last-hurrah before being replaced by the R56 generation and came with an LSD from factory. Low mileage having covered just 65k miles. The car visually is mostly stock and comes with the optional rally spot-lights and the Alpina wheels that were made specifically made for the R53 generation. The service history is good with plenty of stamps and paperwork but would not be considered FSH. Last serviced November 2024 at 63k miles and has recently had a new oil cooler, drive belt tensioner and pulleys, belt and coolant flush. The supercharger service was done at 49,000 miles with receipt. The car benefits from a healthy amount of upgrades, and additionally the previous owner had a brand new engine (the engine block) fitted around 58,000 miles which was bought directly from BMW and fitted by a MINI specialist with receipts. The list of upgrades include: JCW 11% Supercharger Pulley, Lohen Ignition Package (MSD Ignition High Voltage Coil Pack and Magnecor Leads), Aftermarket Intercooler, Samco Sport Induction Hose, K&N Air Filter, Cusco Coolant Expansion Tank, Cusco Front and Back Aluminium Strut Braces, Scorpion Manifold, Sports Cat and a brand-new Gravity Cat-back Exhaust. The car has also been dyno-tuned to 215hp by Celtic Tuning with printouts. There are some age related marks such as would be expected but considering the age it's in very good condition. The bodywork and decals are in good condition minus some minimal rust spots shown the photos, one of them being behind the number plate light housing which is extremely common on these cars and the other being a stone chip on the bonnet. I have recently had the car checked over by a MINI specialist who provided a full-check report for the car. I have rectified the more urgent issues but would be more than happy to share this with any potential buyers for piece of mind.
