Description

JCW bodykit and door sill trims full rebuild in Dec 24 by Mike1967 from the Mini2 forums along with MOT After only recently getting my Mini fully sorted I need to sell it as It's just not compatible with a growing 4 year old! Bought last year and thought I had done all my research, valve stem seals done, camchain recently done, recent clutch change etc. Unfortunately the camchain and valve stems were not done by a specialist so the timing was already off and unknown to me the piston rings and turbo core had also gone so it failed it's MOT on emissions. I decided to get it fixed properly by Mike1967 who is the expert on these engines. I ended up replacing a lot more parts than planed simply because I wanted it to be reliable for the foreseeable future. The parts for the rebuild alone come to well over 2000 and some of the larger items include: 4 x new pistons New catalytic converter Both 02 sensors Cam chain kit Water pump Oil pump Thermostat housing Coolant link pipe Air con condenser Turbo core Plus numerous other parts. If it seemed like a good idea to replace it then it got done. On the advice of Mike I also had a black magic remap applied and this certainly transforms the car giving around 230bhp Bodywork I would describe as excellent. I have touched up a number of stonechips on the bonnet and touched in some slight kerb marks on the alloys. It has some scratching on the roof spoiler but for the age and millage it really is excellent. I also spent some considerable time rubbing down the subframes of surface rust then treating and undersealing with Bilt Hamber products. Comes with Toyo tires with good tread and had the clutch and flywheel replaced in 2019 @67k along with upgraded EBC pads and disks all round in 2022 and the HPFP in 2019. Lot's of other previous service history with the car. I know you can pick these up for 2k and less but they really are a ticking timebomb, even with some of the common issues sorted. This one with a full rebuild from Mike should give years of trouble free motoring.
