Description
A very nice, low mileage, facelift model TD5 finished in Coniston Green with Denim twill interior. It has an unusual spec with rear bench seats (with seatbelts) and rear windows. It has a galvanised front bumper, genuine Wolf steel wheels and fold down side and rear steps. It has a large history file showing detailed maintenance records from throughout its life. There is an interesting delivery note in the file from June 2002 showing the car was collected from Land Rover Vehicle Operations at Gaydon and delivered to Royal Mews Garage at Windsor Castle, where it was signed for by the late Queen's stud groom, suggesting it was originally used by the Royal Household. However this is the only paperwork relating to this period and it was relatively short lived, as the vehicle was subsequently sold by Barrett's Land Rover to a private individual in Sept 2003. It is an interesting addition to the car's history nonetheless. The subsequent owners of the car have clearly used it sparingly and kept it in excellent condition, as it shows no signs of hard usage that Defenders often exhibit. If you have seen and driven lots of these, you will be very pleasantly surprised by this example. The history shows regular servicing and maintenance and corroborates the low mileage. When the previous owner acquired the vehicle in 2015 it was then dry stored as part of a collection from 2016 to 2024 (no MOT's during this period). Since coming out of storage it has had a fresh MOT (no advisories) and been serviced, as well as some other minor improvements. It is certainly an interesting low mileage example that is well worth a look. For any further info, please feel free to call or email. Part exchange considered.
