Description
1995 VW Golf 1.4 CL, Mark 3. Low mileage. Colour: VW's 'Classic Red' (burgundy red). Runs well! Full service history from new (serviced when in use), all stamped in booklet. 2 sets of keys. Power steering. Owner's instruction manual. Petrol engine, runs on unleaded. Hatchback. 5 doors. Manual gearbox with 5 forward gears plus reverse.
The mark 3 Golf is already widely regarded as a ground-breaking classic, which led the way for VW's iconic styling of future marks. This one turned 30 years old in January (2025).
This Golf has been garaged up until very recently. It has been looked after and is in good condition considering its age. There are some minor blemishes on the bodywork, which you can see on the photos, such as above the passenger side wheel arches. My grandpa added these getting in and out of his driveway towards the end of his life.
Gramps used seat covers and floor mats from new and did not smoke, and I don't smoke either, so the interior is in very good condition.
A lovely, practical, classic car! I am somewhat reluctant to sell, especially given the sentimental value. I fondly remember going to pick this car up with Gramps from the dealership when it was brand new 30 years ago. I have only driven it a handful of times since taking ownership and hardly use it. So I would like it to go to someone who will both use and look after it.
