The Donnington Edition celebrates the 60th anniversary of Caterham Cars and the 40th anniversary of the reopening of one of Britain’s most challenging circuits. There was only 10 Donington Editions built by BookaTrack at Donington and each one carries a numbered plaque. The blue, white and red colour scheme is inspired by the circuit’s corporate colours and is unique to this car. This is car number 3 named after Craners corner, its been well looked after by DPR Motorsports. The 420R sits right below the 620R in the Caterham line-up. It doesn’t have the supercharged model’s power output but, with 210bhp from its 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, and weighing no more than 560kg and mated to the 6-speed Sadev Sequential box its still a formidable power in its own right. 0-60mph is sub 3.6 seconds and fitted with the Avon ZZS tyres it has plenty of grip. It also has a competition roll cage and aero screen so that means there’s no windscreen or roof option but it has racing springs and dampers.
