This V70 Classic SE was bought new by my aunt in 2000 and has remained in her ownership ever since. It has only ever been driven by her until last week when I collected it to sell for her as sadly her eyesight is failing at 83. It was a special order colour with matching cream leather that has stood up brilliantly to the last 25 years use. The car has a FULL Volvo main agent service history and in December 2024 received new discs, pads and callipers, handbrake cable and a new tyre for its MOT and of course we have the receipts! The car is not immaculate, she has a few scrapes (and not a single spec of rust that I can find), but she has cleaned up beautifully and for the 60 miles that I drove it home, was a joy to drive, even in the pelting rain and feels like only a Volvo does! My aunt loves this car and I know from experience that she will never, ever have thrashed it (I doubt that it has been above 60MPH) and with the exception of the air conditioning not working EVERYTHING else works perfectly (even the cruise control and heated seats). Those mats in the pictures are 25 years old and they were covered from new with a layer of carpet and then some rubber mats! even the boot has a carpeted liner which was a cost option when it was new. We have every receipt spent on the car - right up to a brand new battery with a 3 year warranty purchased last weekend. She's an old girl and doesn't qualify for ULEZ or any other the other big city low emission zones - but for a big solid old lady she does still average 35-40MPG on a run. This is not your averave V70, it has lead a really good life with someone who trusted her main agent service department implicitly and if they said something needed doing, she got it done. It is so sad that now, at 83 my aunt can no longer drive her, as I am sure that she would be happily driving it now. Call me for further information or to come and view the car.
