Very original example, covered 79980 miles, wax oiled in early life and spent much of its life in garage hence how it has survived so well. Owned by me for last 13 years. All glass and light units data tagged with registration, I should imagine this was done from new. Engine starts and runs very well, Gearbox and Clutch also no issues. Brakes all seem to be fine and over the years I have owned it the Discs, pads, shoes and cylinders have been replaced. The wheels are in good condition although would benefit from a recoat, the Tyres have reasonable tread but are old and would recommend changing. The car also comes with a spare set of cloverleafs which need a good refurb, the spare is a dog leg from a mk4 I believe. Roof works fine, starting to show signs of wear where they always go, tho the car has never been used by me in the rain and comes with it original tonneau cover which is excellent. Inside it still has its functioning O.E ford cassette player, original steering wheel and in fact is all pretty much original and good. Door cards all excellent as are the seat covers. As all old escorts, the dash has cracks in the top. Driver seat could possible do with the sides re foaming but still in good condition. Windows all work and glass all in good condition. Bodywork is in exceptional condition considering to my knowledge this car is original and hasn't been restored in its life. Obviously repairs have been carried out previously to my ownership and in certain lights this may be observed but overall the bodywork seems in very good sound condition. Underneath seems to be all solid, although would benefit at some time from a good clean off and fresh undercoating to future proof. On one of the outer sills a repair has been made at some point which is not the best, although seems to be sound. The front of the sills where the wings weld onto will need attention as will the very bottom of the front wings. It would seem that this is a common fault with them and would appear that at some point this has been done by someone before, and on close recent inspection the inner wings on both sides would need some welding as per pictures. Also it has just had a brand new battery. Together with the spare set of Clover leafs this car comes with parts I have collected over the years.
