BMW 520d automatic, great runner and would make an excellent value family car. Great colour combination of Metallic dark grey outside with the matching grey allow wheels and light interior scheme with piano black trims (much more modern than the wood effect). The interior is good for the year, not immaculate, but very presentable and not heavily worn as some are. The bodywork again looks great, as you can see in the photos, but again its got age related dinks and scuffs all over - certainly not a show car, but for day to day use it looks great when it's cleaned up. Everything works inside, all cubbys open as they should, all buttons work, and there are also two working BMW keys with the car. Inside you get auto dimming mirror, auto wipers, keyless start, bluetooth phone connectivity, audio aux in port, front and rear parking sensors. Mechanically the car is in very good shape, it is up to date with all servicing and you have a year before it will need any servicing of any kind (see photos of servicing status). The MOT is fresh (runs out Jan 2026). The car shows services at 16K, 38K, 50K, 62K, 65K, 71K, 88K, 99K, 109K, 117K, 124K, 127K and 131K in the service book. The only thing that will need doing in a few months are the front tyres; they just passed the MOT but they are getting low. The suspension feels nice and smooth, the steering is straight and does not pull to the side, it brakes straight without pulling, and gearbox changes smoothly and it generally is a very nice place to be on a long journey. It also easily averages 50mpg on day to day driving; but you probably already know that if you are looking at one of these. Despite the prestige and comfort you get with a BMW 5 series, these are very good value and economic cars. Recent work, other than servicing, includes two good used headlights that had to be changed for the MOT (the levelling function had ceased), new rear discs and pads Jan 2025, new Varta battery December 2023, new Falken rear tyres July 2023, new front discs and pads April 2023.
