Know by all the Porsche 944 experts the S2 is the one to have with it's excellent handling and linear power delivery from its silky 3.0 engine developing 211bhp. This is my 2nd 944 and I have loved every minute of my ownership. The car looks great in gloss black and has had the belts and rotating shafts changed in the last 2000 miles or so, along with an uprated OE Sachs clutch. This does away with the original dohnut design which is well known to break up and jam the mechanism. The gearbox mounting, another known weakness has also been changed. I have also recently replaced the front tyres with Michelin Primacy brand. Everything works as it should including the electric sunroof. The dashboard is split free and the very rare luggage cover is also present along with the original unused tool box and space saver with compressor. The service book shows a comprehensive service history mostly carried out by the dealer network or specialists. This is backed up by countless invoices and details of other work done. The paintwork is good and solid with very few age related marks as expected of a 33 year old car. The interior and carpets are generally very good along with a period Grundig radio, though I must point out a blemish on the drivers grey seat.
