I have owned the car for over 3 years now. I Bought it from a local Mercedes Specialist here in Southampton on 106k miles for over 11 thousand . It has Full Mercedes Service History up to 80k miles and independent history since. It has always been serviced in my ownership every 10k miles by the same garage. I have never had any issues with the car to note and only ever alternated minor and major services along with other wear and tear items such as tyres, brakes and an auxillary battery. Unfortunately i reversed into a bollard slowly when parking and also the front bumper was stone chipped from my trips up to Wolverhampton each week which led to lacquer peel from my jet wash. (damage in photos). I am happy to repaint the front bumper and the rear corner as part of negotiation, but i find its easier to offer cheaper and do the work if required than do it and ask a higher price first. Apart from that it is a very tidy car and the interior is extremely well kept too. The engine is renowned for being bullet proof, along with it being an early facelift it had the better injectors and no ad blue to deal with. Only other thing to note is i had it mapped 2 and a half years ago so it has 250BHP vs the original 170BHP. Its a noticeabe jump and filled the gap between the lack of power compared to the V6 version but keeps the 50+ mpg. I currently use a VW Touareg and my wife has used the car the last 6 months. We are having a second child and we find my Touareg has a lot more leg room for the baby seats but with less boot space than the E Class. However we now have 2 Touaregs and are getting rid of the E Class. If it wasnt for the leg room issue with 2 baby seats id keep the car as although not the most interesting car i have ever owned, it has certainly been the most reliable and honest car ive owned.
