Description
One for enthusiasts. Most likely the cleanest SLK 55AMG on the market today. Comprehensive history file: original sales invoice, 33 service and repair invoices, previous V5s, tracker certificate and every MOT. Original oil top up kit, locking wheel nut case, wind deflector, navigation case, Command screen cleaning kit, period brochures and full book pack. The car was registered with the cherished plate and the retention certificate is also present showing a cost of 799 in 2005. There has been extensive and recent engine, gearbox and suspension work- repair and preventative maintenance - no expense has been spared.
Recent cosmetic work includes: refinishing both bumpers, boot lid and boot spoiler using Mercedes OEM paint system, leather restoration, 2-stage polishing, thorough detailing, new keys and fobs. Matching Mercedes approved fitting Continental tyres. 12-months MOT will be applied once sold. Being a 2005 car the tax is low.
About me: I am not a car dealer, but a Communication Director and my hobby is light cosmetic restoration and detailing of post-2000 sports cars. My free time is scarce and it takes me several months to complete the many hours required to achieve a high level of detailing perfection on each car. My strategy is to carefully buy a car with great provenance or with unusual specification. I then set about the process of bringing it back to near-perfect condition over a series of months in my home studio. Once complete, I photograph my work and sell the car, trying not to lose money in the process, and then I look for my next project. I usually find time to detail two cars per year depending on how busy I am at work. Everyone wins - the original owner finds a genuine buyer, I indulge my hobby and the new owner finds an immaculate car. As I'm not a trader, each car is registered in my name at my home address and is SORN. I rarely, if ever, drive them.
