1998 Mercedes C180 classic estate. (S202) I purchased the car in September 2021. The mileage was 75,000 and is now showing 89,700. I do not have any previous service history, but it has been serviced twice since I've owned it, and I've fitted a couple of tyres and a new battery. It hasn't needed anything else. Presently sorn. As the later model and the 1.8 version with the five-speed automatic gearbox, it averages just under 40 miles per gallon on a run. It is the "classic," that is, the basic model, although it seems to feature several factory extras, including a sunroof, built-in child seats, metallic paint, and private registration (which it has had since new). While I lack service history, it appears to have been locked after. The car has very little rust, which is one of the reasons, alongside the colour, that attracted me to it. The only noticeable rust is a small amount on the rear door and around the rear door handle, as shown in the photographs. You'll struggle to find any 27-year-old car with less rust than this. I did not use the car in winter when the gritters were out to preserve the body. I charged the battery, and it started straight away. I have taken several long journeys in this car using the cruise control, and the build quality. It makes a great long-distance cruiser and load-lugger. The car has a MOT to 11 Aug 2025 and has only had six previous owners Good points -Very low mileage and ownership -Very little rust -Estate car -Sunroof -Great colour -Great runner -Cruise control -Private reg -Separate heating zones -Built-in children's seats - Thule roof bars Bad points -The car is a category D from 15 Aug 2007; I do not know what the damage was. -Lacquer peel on front bumper -There are scratches on rear bumper and scoop -The cream interior has marks, and the front seats are discoloured. -The heater fan has been intermittent since starting a couple of days ago.
